In this role you hire, coach, train and manage our software development team(s) and facilitate the growth of our colleagues. You lead the IT Team that works on designing software, web applications, web services and VR solutions. Based on your years of experience you create and maintain our scalable software architecture, make sure our products and software are of top notch quality and the security is a sure guarantee. You create and oversee budgets and create various types of reports to senior management.


Example of a day at the office

You pour yourself a cup of coffee, get started and check-in at the 09:30 day start to share all about the sprint goal developments. Your focus of this morning is on the development of the technical roadmap of our VR solution. Since the sun is shining, you have a lunch walk with colleagues of the various teams. This afternoon you work on the refinement  of our CI/CD processes and review the release plans.



As you are familiar with all policies, procedures and technical issues related to software programming, you are the go-to person for brainstorming or guidance of our relatively young development teams. Being part of the leadership team, you represent the software department in various types of meetings, ranging from product innovation initiatives to annual and quarterly company goals. 

You set attainable goals for delivery on time and make sure the timeline, procedures and processes are followed to enhance work productivity. This includes activities such as software requirement analysis, implementation of design plans, review of unit tests, documentation, technical support to other company personnel and managing multiple projects at the same time. You write, review and revise product requirements and specifications to ensure high quality code that is stable, reliable, secure, scalable and performing. You supervise architecture, manage the devops infrastructure plus lead efforts to develop a technical roadmap of all software related projects.

To be successful in this role you:


  • Own at least a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or AI
  • Have vast experience with data architecture development, infrastructure management, rolling out and developing the software development life cycle aligned with the companies business goals
  • Have worked in a scale-up before
  • Are a great communicator (excellent command of the English language) and comfortable in a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Have 8+ years of experience in Software development and 2+ years of Management experience.
  • Familiar with a variety of modern software development languages, codes and processes and at least some experience with Python and Javascript.
  • You are aware of legislation and regulations regarding software development and security
  • Great analytical and troubleshooting skills 
  • Flexible attitude towards travel and working at unusual hours.
